FAQ’s

WHEN DO YOU HAVE MEET-UPS?

- Our photography group is very active with meetings nearly once a week. If your in the mood to go out and shoot please say so on the wall and almost always you can get a few to join in. We are open to all different time frames and different days of the week so that most everyone will have an opportunity to join.

DO I NEED A DSLR TO JOIN?

- The main criterion is to have a passion for photography. Please don’t show up at a meet-up without a camera or the desire to learn. In short, a DSLR is not a requirement , but more of a suggestion if you plan to delve in deep.

WHAT DO YOU DO AT THE MEET-UPS / WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

- All meet-ups include laugher, smiling, and more than likely a few children running around. It’s a great place to come and ASK QUESTIONS. Please don’t be shy. An experienced photographer is typically at every meeting for this purpose. Bring a list of questions if you want and we can go through them step by step. Our goal is for everyone to learn manual mode and to express themselves through each of our different photography styles.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE IMAGES THAT SOMEONE TOOK OF ME/MY CHILD?

-In other words: you show up to the group meet, you let your kid run wild with the other munchkins, your kid steps in front of someone's lens, and BAM--the person on the other end of that lens owns the copyright of that adorable moment-in-time. Now that sweet shot might be something worth passing on to you, Mom or Dad, BUT sometimes it might NOT. People in this group have a history of generosity and are usually eager to share with you whatever goodies they feel they've captured, and if a few sweet shots of you/your kid result, consider them for the bonus they are. If you really love the image…offer to buy it / have it printed from the photographer that took it. In no way are the meet-ups a place to get images done at no-charge. This is a practice meeting for a reason. Emphasis is on learning. Focus on improving your own photo-taking, and you'll get the most out of the meet-ups and have something you can be proud to hang on your wall.
