I remember Coconut Grove, Florida in the 60's 70's and 80's!!!

Friends: I've been researching and writing about one small area of Coconut Grove, Miami, Florida for the last several years. Why it may be of interest to the group is because the area, the oldest neighbourhood in south Florida, was settled and built by Bahamians who had come up through Key West in the late 1800s. Because of how the enclave developed, at one time it had the highest percentage of Black home ownership than anywhere else in the country. This is just one of the posts I've written about the history of West Grove, or Kebo, the name the original residents gave to the neighbourhood. Thank you for your indulgence.
