Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol Explorers

Welcome to the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol Explorer Post #211!

As a division of the Boy Scouts and the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol Inc., the Explorer Program opens the door for teenagers to experience everything the fire service has to offer at an introductory level. As an Explorer, you will learn firefighting and life skills including hose line operations, vehicle extrication and much more. Throughout the calendar year, we also make several trips which have included a behind-the-scenes tour of Grand Central Terminal with the MTA Police, training and camp-outs at Camp Seton and participating in community service projects.

On top of everything you will learn and experience, the hours you put into the Post may be eligible as community service hours towards college applications, school projects and even scholarships (including one just for Explorers).

Overall, Post #211 is a great place for teenagers who have an interest in the fire service or simply want to improve on their life skills all while giving back to the community and fellow classmates.

If you haven't already gotten started with us, please contact one of our Advisors, Post Lieutenants or the Post Captain for an application and more information about the Post.
