EMERGE-Autism Society of the Emerald Coast

Emerge is a social skills group for persons high school age through adulthood who are on the Autism Spectrum. The primary purpose of Emerge is to increase essential life, social, and job skills, as well as provide recreational actives in supportive and inclusive environments.

Emerge provides the opportunity to increase communication skills through educational trainings in order to build confidence and improve lives, as members strive to reach their full potential.

Emerge meets every Thursday of the month from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Our primary meeting location is at Horizons of Fort Walton Beach, located at 121 Truxton Avenue.

The first Thursday of the month our members enjoy socializing as they grow friendships while playing board and card games at Game Night. Members also participate in recreational activities such as bowling, miniature golf, and more that promote inclusion within the community.
On the third Thursday of the month, Emerge members facilitate a monthly Bingo Night for the residents of Belvedere Commons, located at 2000 Principal Lane, FWB.

The second and fourth Thursdays are dedicated to training on independent living skills in the areas of cooking, budgeting and finance, available public transportation, relationships, employable job skills, and more.

Some additional activities Emerge members enjoy are Holiday parties, karaoke, beach days, disc golf, laser tag, and stand up paddle boarding.
Scheduled activities are listed on Facebook at Emerge-Autism Society of the Emerald Coast or on the ASEC website at www.ASECFL.com
