Talladega Test Facility

The Talladega Test Facility (TTF) opened its doors on January 18, 1981 and is comprised of two buildings consisting of approximately 25,000 square feet of floor space and two testing tracks. Several forms of vehicle testing are performed here, including emissions, brake, sound, durability and automated vehicle tests. The TTF also performs road tests on two tracks located in the area and on public roads within 100 miles of the facility. High speed tests are usually performed on the Talladega Super Speedway. These tests are performed and supported by test riders, mechanics, engineers, test analysts, administrative personnel and others. In addition to the TTF, full vehicle testing is sometimes performed at Ford's Desert Proving Grounds and Ford's Evaluation Center in Naples, Florida.
