Orangeburg Online Yardsale

The purpose of this group is to post items for sale or trade. You are to get with the person that you want to buy the item from or sell to, and you are responsible for all of your transactions. This is a great way to sell items fast and easy.

> Orangeburg Online Yardsale Rules <

■Please post "Wanted Ads" and "Looking For" ads in the Orangeburg Wanted Ads group, not the Yardsale group. To find the "Orangeburg Wanted Ads" group to become a member, just search for it in the search bar located at the top of your computer screen.

■Only list your item/advertisement ONCE on the page. Once you have listed it, you may "bump" the item to the top of the list ONCE a week AFTER your item has been listed for a week. By doing this you just type the word bump in the comment section below your item. If you keep "bumping" your item and not abiding by this rule, then your item can be deleted by admin.

■If you list an item and it sells, please contact the buyer and remove it from the yard sale wall. If you have a commitment to buy, please DELETE the post at that time, you can always re-post the item if it falls through :) This will help keep the clutter down.

■If you are a buyer of an item, you have 3 days to contact the seller and make arrangements to meet. If you do not contact the person within 3 days, the seller has the right to re-list the item.

■If you can't afford the item, don't bid on it.

■Businesses can only post ONCE a week on the wall, that is it. This is an online yard sale, NOT a fan page.

■If you advertise your yard sale, a special item, etc: After the event is over, please remember to take it off the wall.

■PLEASE watch your item, post, etc. for questions or bids. You may be missing the chance to sell your item. You have 3 days to respond to a question on your item, or it will be deleted and you will not be able to post that item again.

■REMEMBER! This is for local people ONLY in the Orangeburg County Area, no one further to make transactions easier. All out of town people will be deleted from page.

■List your item at your own free will. FACEBOOK, nor the ONLINE YARD SALE, or myself are responsible for any broken items or fraudulent transactions. Post at your own free will.

■DO NOT post an item for sale under another person's post or item, that is just rude.

■The person who responds first to an item has first dibs on the item. Please be courteous of others, and if you want something if the sale falls through, just post that under the first person... ex.. "If the sale falls through, I would like".

■Please only post things you are ready to part with... Once you post something, and there is someone who wants it, then you need to sell it to them... It's not fair to anyone involved if you are not going to go through with a commitment to sell.

■If you have more than FIVE items for sale, PLEASE make an album with your items in it. If not, they will be deleted. When you label your item, please do so under the photo description, NOT the comment section, as this results in every single item you have for sale being posted on the wall at once, and takes up large amounts of space. This will help everyone out :) THANKS!

■If you purchase something, it is yours! Please ask BEFORE you make a commitment to buy if you are uncertain about an item that you would like to purchase. The return policy is up to the seller.

■Please keep this page clear of profane language, pictures, etc. We want to keep this FUN and FRIENDLY for everyone! PLEASE BE COURTEOUS AND KEEP THIS A FUN GROUP!! Thank you for those of you that read and follow the rules. :)

*If you are looking for your item that has been posted as a picture or album (especially when you are ready to "bump" it to the top of the thread after a 7 day waiting period), you can easily find it by looking on the right side of your computer screen under "View Photos". This is also a fast and easy way to browse through pictures and albums that others have posted without having to scroll through all of the other ads on the main Yardsale Group page.

*Trick: once you click “View Photos” an easy way to find your album is: On your keyboard, type CTRL A (Control ALL), it will highlight the whole page, then do CTRL F (Control Find) and it should give you an option above to find something, type the name of your album and click FIND, it should find it for you.

*You can bookmark your album once you find it, save it under favorites so that you don’t lose it, or go crazy looking for it.

*If you are planning an event (such as an actual yardsale at your home for example), and want it posted to where your name is anonymous, just send me information you want included in the event, and I will post it for you.

*Also, a great way to keep everyone informed of your event, instead of posting in the yardsale page, you can "Create an Event" (by clicking "Create an Event" on the right side of your computer screen), and invite all members of the Orangeburg Online Yardsale Group...just please remember to delete your event after it has passed.

*If you are having problems deleting an item, or deleting someone elses comments on your post, please let me know what you want deleted by inboxing me, and I will try to delete it for you.

*If you are receiving unwanted emails about this group, you can change your notification settings by clicking "Edit Settings" in the top right corner of your computer screen. Changing it to "Only Posts I am Subscribed To" is usually the best setting if you are only interested in being notified when someone comments on an item you have posted, or on an item you have previously commented on.

*To tag a person, add “@” before the name (ex. @Paula) and the name of the person will show underneath, click on the person or finish typing the name.

*You can do a search of your name on the upper right hand side to find posts you have replied to.

*Please feel free to send me a message if anyone has any other questions regarding this group, and I will try to get back with you to answer your questions as soon as I can. I hope everyone continues to enjoy this group, and I would like to send out a big THANK YOU to those that consistently to follow the rules.
