Friends of the Middlebury Library

The Friends of the Middlebury Library was organized in 1979 to support and advocate for all activities of the Middlebury Community Library, which now serves a district comprised of Middlebury, York, and Jefferson townships in Elkhart County, Indiana with 17,000 residents eligible to use any and all library services.
We cordially invite you to view the Middlebury Community Public Library's Facebook page, as well as their website at

This group presence on Facebook has been created to communicate news of the Friends' activities to any and all interested Facebook users, and to announce special events sponsored by our organization, as well as our bi-monthly meetings which are open to the public. To join the Friends, just stop by the Middlebury Community Public Library and ask for an application. A donation is requested each year.

All donations made out to the Friends of the Middlebury Library, Inc. are tax-deductible, since the organization is administered by a not-for-profit corporation. All funds raised are donated to supplement the library's programs, including summer reading, adult discussion groups, feature film showings, and other special events.

The Friends of the Middlebury Library is also a proud member of Citizens for Libraries (formerly ALTAFF), a division of the American Library Association.
