Denison's All Things Camp Heritage Site

Here is a copy of an article from the latest Conference Connections (Dec '12) regarding Camp Heritage! Camp Heritage Receives National Award Camp Heritage received the Norm Middag Award of Excellence at this year's Association of Adventist Camp Professionals national conference. Denison Sager, Director of Camp Heritage, accepted the award on behalf of the camp. This year's conference was held at Nosoca Pines Ranch, located just outside Liberty Hill, South Carolina. Each year the Executive Board of the AACP recognizes camps across the North American Division who are doing things to improve Adventist camping. Camp Heritage was recognized for finding creative ways to increase the numbers of campers attending camp. Of particular interest was the decision to lower the cost to attend summer camp, which helped to create a 38% increase in camper attendance, compared to the attendance of the summer of 2011. The Association was also pleased with Camp Heritage's commitment to long-term growth, which was evidenced by the funding and construction of the camp's new craft center. "I am pleased to represent Camp Heritage at events such as this," said camp director, Denison Sager. "Since I first worked there as a counselor 25 years ago, I've known Camp Heritage to be an excellent camp. It's awesome when a national association, such as the AACP, also recognizes it!" Registration for this coming summer at Camp Heritage will open on April 1, no fooling!! Be sure to come check out our newest award, the 2012 Norm Middag Award of Excellence, which will be proudly on display! Pictured below from L to R: Jose Cortes, Youth Director, Atlantic Union
