Our book festival, now a decade old, takes place over two weeks in late September and early October. Run by volunteers and now ten years old, it features a short list of high quality literary events at moderate ticket prices. Our visiting authors have included Hilary Mantel, Jackie Kay, Lionel Shriver, Sarah Waters, Patrick Gale, Hilary Spurling and Andrew Motion.
