Our rules are simple:

1) Respect others, there will be no bashing of any kind. This includes the cropping/docking of ears/tails, collar types, and Doberman colors.
2) No selling of pups and/or adult dogs in this group. This includes advertising dogs needing adoption. Your post will be deleted and you will be blocked from this group.
3) Do not join this group just so you can advertise your own group sites or sell items such as t-shirts, leashes/collars, jewelry, etc. That is discouraged! Your post will be deleted and you will be blocked from this group.
4) Do not solicit the group for money or donations.
5) This is not a rescue group site. While we have much love and sympathy for all dogs, please do not join this group to solely solicit adoptions or rescues.
6) If your dog is having a medical issue, seek the expertise of a vet and do not rely on the opinions of anyone posting in this group. While there is a lot of great experience here, your Vet should/will always give you the best plan of action!

The Doberman Pinscher (alternatively spelled Doberman in many countries) or simply Doberman, is a breed of domestic dog originally developed around 1890 by Karl Friedrich Louis Doberman. Doberman Pinschers are among the most common of pet breeds, and the breed is well known as an intelligent, alert, and loyal companion dog. Although once commonly used as guard dogs or police dogs, this is less common today.

In many countries, Doberman Pinschers are one of the most recognizable breeds, in part because of their actual roles in society, and in part because of media attention. Careful breeding has improved the disposition of this breed, and the modern Doberman Pinscher is an energetic and lively breed suitable for companionship and family life.
