Dom omladine Beograda

Dom omladine Beograda je centar koji promoviše programe za mlade u sferi savremene umetnosti i kulture. U svom spektru delatnosti DOB pokriva sve umetničke discipline i forme: od vizuelnih umetnosti i novih medija, preko filma, pozorišta pa sve do muzike. Podjednako važnu ulogu u programima ovog kulturnog centra imaju i obrazovno - debatni programi, koji su već decenijama zaštitni znak DOB-a. Osnovna načela i kriterijumi u kreiranju programa jesu inovativnost i aktuelnost.

Osnovan 1964, situiran u samom centru grada, na nekoliko koraka od centralnog gradskog trga – Trga republike, Dom omladine je godinama kultno okupljalište mladih Beograda. Godišnje, kroz oko 1000 različitih programa, DOB poseti više od 180 000 mladih. Delatnost ovog kulturnog centra se obavlja u šest sala (od kojih su pet multifunkcionalne), holovima, kao i u “depandansu” Magacin u Kraljevića Marka, na preko 5000 m2.

Dom omladine nastoji da funkcioniše kao platforma koja služi promovisanju novih umetnika, novih ideja i inicijativa, ali i kao platforma koja povezuje institucionalnu i vaninstitucionalnu kulturu. Takođe, DOB teži da bude ključna tačka susreta kako za domaće tako i za strane umetnike. Član je brojnih lokalnih, regionalnih i međunarodnih kulturnih mreža.

Osnivač i finansijer Doma omladine je Skupština grada Beograda.

Dom omladine Belgrade (DOB) is a center that promotes programs for youth in the sphere of contemporary art and culture. In its range of activities, DOB covers all art disciplines and forms: from visual arts and new media, to film, theatre and music. Educational debate programs have an equally significant role and have been trademark of DOB for decades . Basic principles and criteria for creating new programs are innovation and actuality.

DOB was established in 1964, and is located in the very center of the city. Dom omladine has gained a cult status as a gathering place for young people of Belgrade. Each year, more than 180,000 youth visit DOB and participate in approximately 1000 different programs. Activities of the cultural center are carried out in six auditoriums (five of which are multifuncional), halls, as well as at Magacin located on Kraljevića Marka street with an total area of over 5000 m2.

Dom omladine strives to function as a platform for promoting new artists, new ideas and initiatives, and to connect institutional and non-institutional culture. Additionally, DOB is a key meeting point for domestic and foreign artists, and an active member of numerous local, regional and international cultural networks.

Dom omladine was established and is funded by the City Council of Belgrade.
