Beaker Street / Clyde Clifford Fans

Beaker Street, originated by Clyde Clifford, was the first "Underground Music" program broadcast regularly on a commercial AM radio station in the central US – KAAY 1090 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Beaker Street began on KAAY late in 1966 and ran through 1972 with Clifford as the host. After he left KAAY, the program continued with several hosts, until it was cancelled in 1977.

Ten years later, the show returned on KZLR-FM (KZ-95), followed by many years at KMJX-FM (Magic 105) and then KKPT-FM (The Point 94.1) in Little Rock, with the last show airing on February 6, 2011.

According to some sources, Beaker Street was the longest running radio program in Arkansas broadcast history.
