German Shepherd Rescue South 0845 680 5658

We are a small rescue that re-homes unwanted German Shepherd Dogs throughout the home counties. The rescue is a non-profit organisation and is run entirely by unpaid volunteers, we rely on donations from sponsors and the general public to keep the rescue running. We do not have our own kennels, our aim is to keep dogs in their own home, if possible, until a suitable new home is found or to place a dog in a foster home.

All dogs that come into our rescue are fully assessed before they can be put up for adoption, this involves an experienced volunteer visiting the dog in his home and assessing the dogs temperament. This allows us to match and place a dog in the correct environment. German Shepherd Dogs come into our rescue for many reasons, the main reasons being marriage break-ups, death of an owner or changes in circumstances, but mostly through no fault of their own.

To adopt one of our dogs a homecheck will be carried out by one of our volunteers and certain criteria must be met, please see our adoption process page.

We urgently need volunteers for homechecking, transportation, fundraising, dog assessment and especially foster homes, can you help?

We now take lots of GSD's from PTS situations from local and general dog pounds, our emergency boarding kennels cost are going through the roof, we need help. To get a dog from a pound situation involves 1st and 2nd vaccinations, worming, fleaing as well as any problem the dog may have....please help us to help these unfortunate dogs.....
