Irish EV Owners Association

WHO ARE WE – formed in March 2015 at the AGM. We have a constit...ution (passed at the AGM), a committee of 10 (who work for the members), a Website, a Facebook Page,a Logo and have set-up a bank account. Membership is growing all the time.

MEMBERSHIP – one must be an Electric Vehicle Owner to be a member. One must fill in an application form and pay the annual fee of just €10. Members receive a membership card and a car window sticker.

WHY JOIN US – We are the the group that represent the interests of EV owners and drivers across Ireland. We hold events for our members. When meeting with stakeholders we get points/concerns of our members and bring them to these meetings. After meetings we report back to members (via email) on such meetings.

ESB Ecars, Car Manufacturers like Nissan, Government, and County Councils recognize us as the official group representing Electric Vehicle Owners.

DO JOIN US: We will be your voice at meetings. We will keep you informed and updated on EV matters. As they say there is strength in numbers. Membership details:

Group etiquette :
#1: There will be no cursing in this group. Any message considered sexist, racist, sectarian, or homophobic by the admins will be deleted & the author will be warned and may be excluded. It also includes any statement that the group admins deem inappropriate in nature or cases covered in #5.
#2: Do not advertise your business on this group.
#3: All opinions will be treated with mutual respect, unless they violate the aforementioned rules. Treat your fellow Facebook group members with that same respect.
#4: If an individual starts a discussion that all other members disagree with, it may, at the discretion of group admins, be considered trolling. Trolls will be booted out of the group.
#5: If a member personally attacks another member with words that are harmful, threatening or not in line with our mutual respect policy, that member will receive a warning. Three warnings and you’re out.
#6: Do not post graphic or disturbing photos, videos or other media in this group. If you are not sure about the content that you want to post, contact one of the group admins.
#7: If someone mentions you by name please respond directly to that person on the same post. If the comment is inflammatory please report it to a group admin.
#8: It is considered impolite to repost or draw attention to the fact that a group admin or another member has deleted your comment.
#9: If you are going to comment, please add valuable discussion to the conversation. Be friendly, be fair and use common sense.
#10: The group admins are entitled to deny entry to any member they choose. They are also allowed to boot out members who don’t comply with the house rules.
#11: When you share attachments in our Facebook group please make sure that your settings are on ‘public’ or no-one will be able to see your attachment.
