Illinois Medical Cannabis Community

On August 1, 2013, Illinois Governor, Pat Quinn, sig...ned the Illinois Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Act into law.

We help the pilot program succeed by providing patients and interested parties with industry news, scholarly research, up to date information, and the latest developments.

The Illinois Medical Cannabis Community (IMCC) is a group of professionals working together to inform, educate, and raise awareness about medical cannabis in the state of Illinois. Our community consists of patients, advocates, and professionals in the cannabis industry often times associated with dispensaries, health clinics, wellness centers, cultivation facilities, and ancillary businesses. The administrators of the group are non-paid volunteers who put in an extensive amount of time, energy, and effort to build a legitimate source of information conveniently located at the palm of your hand.

Members may be added using the “ADD MEMBERS” feature, join at their own discretion, or see group activity without joining. Anyone can see the group, its members, and posts. We encourage you to join in the discussions!

1. Keep posts related to medical cannabis.

2. If your post or comment suggests that you are under the legal age, it may be subject to removal.

3. We must stress that any medical advice seen within the IMCC and on the internet in general be taken at your own risk. The people of the internet cannot replace advice from a licensed medical professional.

4. Respect your fellow users. Name-calling, trolling, ad hominem posts, and general rudeness are not welcome here. If you disagree with another user and choose to engage in a debate, please keep it civil, and know when to step away.

5. All forms of advertising for financial gain are prohibited.

6. Links may be posted; however, please accompany it with text that encourages or initiates some form of discussion. Links that are identified as spam, articles that re-direct you, articles behind paywalls, and information posted multiple times from different sources may be removed at administrators’ discretion.

7. Use the “Search This Group” box to look for older posts. Quite often a question has been asked already and we are more than happy to help you find the answers.

8. Sharing pictures of memes, gifs, comics, or off-topic content is generally frowned upon unless you have a question or review about said content.

9. Asking for a "hook up" with individuals your area will result in post removal. This isn't a place to set up deals.

10. If you see a violation of these rules, please let the administrators know by reporting the post or messaging us directly.

11. When in doubt, ask. We’re available every day and we are here to help.

12. Relaxed rules on Saturday and Sunday! Some non-cannabis related posts will be allowed so please take this time to get in touch with the community. See More
