Koycegiz Animal Welfare Group

Our Animal Rescue Centre in Köycegiz, is situated in the Muğla region of Turkey, and provides refuge for animals in need. We are constantly working to maintain and improve our facilities. We ask for volunteers to help run the shelter, to care for the animals and give help and advice to the public and deal with enquiries. All work is managed by volunteers (There are only 6 of us (1 full time) to care for over 125 Dogs as we are a really small Turkish Village and the locals are just not that interested in hands on help) which includes feeding, cleaning the shelter, caring for the sick, trying to provide suitable living conditions, the collection of animals, veterinary visits, grooming, walking, running events to raise funds, the list is endless.

We are a small group that helps the street animals in Koycegiz. To enable us to help the animals we rely totally on kind donations from our supporters. We are a non-profit organisation and all donations are used to benefit any animal in need. Please visit our website for further information.

We rely on people who give generously of their time or money (sometimes both). There are so many ways you can help the animals. Our list is endless.
Whatever you can give, large or small will be gratefully received and every bit of it will go to help the animals.

New homes for the animals are sought all the time and once necessary checks have been carried out on the potential adopters we hope that our animals will settle in a home with plenty of TLC.
We have started an adopt a pet program on our website where you can adopt a pet for a membership fee and receive news and photos on how your chosen dog is doing. You can also follow our important views and issues on http://kawg.org/kawgblog/.
