Meadowlark Botanical Gardens Camera Club

Are you interested in taking a better photo?

Join Andy Kitchen's Meadowlark Botanical Gardens Camera Club and be prepared to learn!

This Club is open to all members of Meadowlark Botanical Gardens.

It convenes weekly on Wednesdays, at 10:30am and 6:30pm.

Accompanied children are welcome to join the meeting at 10:30am.

During these sessions, we will be chatting about anything and everything related to cameras and photography. The beautiful gardens are always available as a classroom for practical sessions. We will be running trips into the gardens pre-sunrise to allow early birds the opportunity to catch the gardens when no one else is around and the sun has yet to rise.

We will critique each other's photographs, and there may be "homework" assigned to help refine techniques learned during the meetings.

There will also be guest speakers who will present on the flora and fauna of the Gardens. Field trips and special events will also be planned.

To join the Club, in addition to being a member of the Gardens, you will also be expected to contribute $20 annually towards administrative costs. Any leftover money at the end of each year will go into a prize fund. You can attend 3 sessions as a guest; $20 will be expected at the 4th session.

In addition to the Club, classes on photography will be conducted for beginners, intermediates and advanced photographers. Specific topics may include macro, landscape, portrait, fashion, nude/fine art, existing light, on/off camera flash, studio lighting, physiograms/light painting and many more. There may be an additional fee charged for these classes.
