Run 1,000 Miles Challenge

GROUP DESCRIPTION - Why it started and how it works?

In 2013, my hubby, Gabriel Casanova and I decided to challenge ourselves to run 1,000 miles in 2013. I can not be happier and prouder of how this group has grown. I look forward to keeping this challenge open for many years to come. It takes determination and hard work to meet a goal like this. Why 1,000 miles? Because 2.74 miles a day for 365 days seemed like a reasonable and attainable goal.

How it works?
It's all on an honor system. Post your miles daily, encourage each other and get out there and walk/run. For those that join the group after January, estimate your miles from the beginning of the year to date and begins to post along. Since it is on an honor system, you determine what counts towards your mileage and post, post, post!!!

Walking, Running and Treadmill count towards mileage. No other form of machine cardio or cycling count towards the 1k goal even though highly encouraged to keep cardio up.

The ultimate goal is to remain active and encourage everyone in the group to do the same. We are here to motivate each other.

Happy running!!!
