Freethinkers Society of TSU

Wikipedia says it best:
Freethought is a philosophical viewpoint that holds that opinions should be formed on the basis of science, logic, and reason, and should not be influenced by authority, tradition, or other dogmas. The cognitive application of freethought is known as 'freethinking,' and practitioners of freethought are known as 'freethinkers.'

That being said, the Freethinkers Society of TSU is a student organization formed for several reasons: 1) To provide an outlet for the exchange of philosophical ideas from a non-theistic viewpoint, 2) to build up and promote awareness of a non-theistic community on campus, and 3) to promote tolerance for all systems of belief, particularly non-traditional theological beliefs (atheism, agnosticism, etc.)
