ARTISTS TRYING TO MAKE A LIVING CREATING ART

This group is for VISUAL ARTISTS. If you post anything to sell or advertise items or information that are not related to art, your post will be deleted and you will be removed from the group without further notice.

This is an active, supportive, resource and networking group for VISUAL ARTISTS. Sorry, but if your art is considered a "craft" this is not the right place for you to post and try to sell what you make. Experienced professional artists and sculptors are invited to join us to give advice to beginners and share opportunities for marketing our work. Newbies can ask for information and advice you need to further your art career. We will continue to post resources for artists, and we have an Artists Directory in our FILES you are welcome to join. All participation and contributions to the group by members are welcome. You may post your links and artwork. Please invite your artist friends to join us, and be assured a positive experience in interactions within this group.

We constantly update the group with new opportunities and information that is helpful for your artistic career. We encourage our members to share opportunities you learn about.

Hello, I am Sarah Dees, the administrator of this group. I'm a graduate of Parsons School of Design in NYC, with a major in Illustration. I started my first wholesale business, "Dees Design Graphics" in 1983, and was successful for twenty years, creating custom original fine art and designing/producing picture framing. I had to stop for a while due to health problems, but I have recently started over again. I am now a professional artist, writer and educator. You are invited to join my page, SARAH DEES ART. You are all welcome to connect with me personally as a friend.

This group was originally founded by Kevin Nodland, for anyone or any artist. Kevin wrote, "We are here for those who MAY be struggling to be an artist and trying to make money doing what they love to do. Are you working in a "regular job", just to pay the bills, but feel the need to create art? Please show your artwork here. Please join me and a million others who are striving for professional success with our art. If you have achieved success as an artist, please share information with the group about what has worked for you. THANK YOU, and be a fan at my page NODLAND DESIGNS, where most of my art is."

We wish you all success and prosperity!
