My Islam , not lost in Translation

The term “islam” means “submission” (to the will of God). The one who is submitting is called “muslim” (hence the word Muslim). The religion of Islam can be divided onto religious doctrine and decrees.

The main doctrine of Islam:
God. The central doctrine of Islam states that God is alone. To say that God has others, equal to His person, means to commit a sin of ishrack, which according to the Koran, can not be forgiven (Sura 4:51). Obviously, this doctrine makes it impossible for Muslims to accept the Trinity.

To accomplish a pilgrimage (hajj).
Every Muslim must visit Mecca at least once in his lifetime, only if his health and means allow him to do so. All pilgrims wear white clothes to nullify any social and class differences between them. The procedure of visiting several holly places usually takes a week. Upon completion of pilgrimage every person receives hadga title.

"And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do)
shall be questioned. For what sin she was killed? (At-Takwir 81:8-9)

Civil Rights In Islam

There is no compulsion in religion according to the Quran:

"There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghut [anything worshipped other then the Real God (Allah)] and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower."
(Al-Baqarah 2:256)
