Edmonton Street Photography Club

Welcome to the Edmonton Street Photography group, a community for street photographers from Edmonton. Join and introduce yourself! Updates for events and meetups will be sent out through the group, so make sure you subscribe.

Not sure what street photography is? Check out the Wikipedia article at http://bit.ly/nzLob or check out our Flickr group at http://www.flickr.com/groups/edmontonstreetphotography/.

We welcome any photographer with an enthusiasm for street photography to join our group, whether they be professional or just starting out. Feel free to post your street photography to the wall, as long as you follow these simple guidelines:

1. Gear for sale posts are not allowed unless it is typical street photo gear (e.g. rangefinders, no telephoto lenses, etc.). Please see the Photographer's Garage Sale group if you are looking for a group to sell stuff to: https://www.facebook.com/groups/195876127163508/

2. You are encouraged to post your website or portfolio as long as it contains some sort of street photography. Although there are many fantastic photographers in all styles, there are also many more niche or generalist Facebook groups. Our niche happens to be street photography!

3. The events the admins create do not have to be the only times the group meets up; if you want to organize your own photography meetup, feel free to post it on the wall. If you are posting about a non-photographic event, the text part of the post will need to be an explanation of why it is relevant to the group. We won't accept blatant advertising.

4. You don't have to come to the meetups to participate in the group. You also don't need to be from Edmonton, as long as your posts are still relevant to the group. That is, all photographs posted should be street photographs and either taken in Edmonton or taken by a photographer from Edmonton.

Failure to follow these simple rules may result in the deletion of your post without warning. Continuing to do so will result in a ban. If you feel that your post did not deserve to get removed, please contact the administrators.
