Hope for HIE Forum

As a key component of the Hope for HIE foundation outreach networks, this is a private discussion group for parents, and approved immediate family members, of children diagnosed with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy.

Once you request to join the group, a Hope for HIE admin will contact you requesting that you briefly explain your HIE story to qualify your membership.

If you do not hear back in a timely manner to vet your membership, please do one of two things:

1) Please check your OTHER mailbox in messages and also ensure your setting allow you to RECEIVE messages from people you aren't connected to, so we can communicate with you and get you added. If we cannot reach you, we cannot add you.

2) Contact the public Hope for HIE foundation page located at Facebook.com/hopeforhie and message the page with your information.

As this is an active support group, please post your introduction on the wall. If you cannot provide your introduction to the group within 7 days, please let us know, or you will be removed. You are free to reapply to the group once you provide your introduction.

This group is primarily for parent-to-parent support; grandparents and aunts/uncles of HIE kids are welcome, but MUST be added to the group by the parent of the child first.

If you are not directly related to a child with HIE, you will not be granted access. For anyone who is a friend, therapist, medical professional, or other relation of an HIE child and is seeking support or advice, please visit the public Hope for HIE Foundation page to connect with others who have HIE experience to share.

Hope for HIE's forum contains posts on many medical topics; however, there is absolutely no assurance that any statement contained or cited in an comment touching on medical matters is true, correct, precise, or up-to-date. Even if a statement made about medicine is accurate, it may not apply to you or your child.
