The former Japanese Embassy in Saba Pasha is a wonderfully spacious villa with an extensive garden and is currently under re-furbishment to create this new and exciting nursery.

We aim to give each child the best possible start to becoming a competent learner and skillful communicator through the following methods:

J = Joyous Outlook
I = Imaginative Learning
G= Generous Affection
S = Social Interaction
A = Attitude Awareness
W = Winning Ways

We will follow the Early Years Foundation Stage development goals.

The areas covered are:

PERSONAL, SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Children should be provided with experiences and support which will encourage them to develop a positive sense of themselves and of others, respect for others, social skills and a positive disposition to learn.

EDUCATION, LANGUAGE AND LITERACY

Children's learning and competence in communicating, speaking and listening, being read to and beginning to read and write must be supported and extended.

PROBLEM SOLVING, REASONING AND NUMERACY

Children must be supported in developing their understanding in these areas and be given a broad range of experiences in which they can explore, enjoy, learn and practice these new found skills.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORLD

Children should be nurtured and encouraged to get knowledge and understanding of the world and how to make sense of it. They will be supported on how to use a range of tools safely, experience plants, creatures, people and objects in their natural environments and real-life situations.

PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT

The physical development of babies and young children must be encouraged through the provision of opportunities for them to be active and interactive to improve their skills of coordination, control, manipulation and movement. They should be supported in developing an understanding of the importance of physical activity and making healthy choices in relation to food.

CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT

Children's creativity must be extended by encouraging their curiosity, exploration and play. They should be given the opportunity to share their ideas, thoughts and feelings through a variety of art, music, movement, dance, technology, imaginative and role-playing activities.

Above all, your child should have a wonderful time, enjoy themselves, be cared for in a loving and affectionate manner, be respected as the little personalities they are and come home each day with a story or experience to share.
