Leica Street Photography

ONLY ONE IMAGE A DAY, PLEASE. DO NOT MAKE ALBUMS.

Welcome to Leica Street Photography.

There are great historic traditions with Leica and street photography. One could say that the two are synonymous starting with Henri Cartier-Bresson back in 1932.

It does not have to be black and white pictures, but history shows that it often is. This group is dedicated to that tradition.

Please be aware that all images posted in this group should be taken with a Leica camera.

Street photography, in this context, is understood as more of an attitude to photography than anything else. Images should be a) urban; b) unposed and unstaged; c) contextual showing a street milieu; d) straight photography in the sense that only a minimum of post production have been executed.

Last, but not least they should have human beings as the bearing element

Honour that, and you are ready to post in this group.

Good luck with it.

PLEASE OBSERVE THESE FEW GUIDELINES:

1. Images, or text accompanying images, must be free of harassment of every kind.

2. Pictures of minors need to have parental consent to be posted. When posting such images you need to state explicitly that you have such consent.

3. You need to make sure that you have the right to post the image(s) and that the image(s) lawfully belong to you. This includes having the right to copy and distribute them.

4. DO NOT MAKE ALBUMS for your images because that may slow down and eventually block central functions on the site. Albums will be removed by admins.

5. The group is not connected to or endorsed by Leica Camera AG other than the fact that the photographs shown here were made using their equipment. Leica has been made aware that the group exists and no objections have been raised.

6. Please specify what Leica camera and lens you have used for your photograph. Many enjoy to read that type of information.

7. It is YOU, the person who posts pictures to this group (the photographer), who have the full responsibility in ensuring that pictures posted are legally posted. You need to be the legal owner of the image to post it. Make sure that all photos are compliant with national and international law.

8. By posting to this group you accept the conditions for posting and agree that you are the lawful owner of the picture posted. As stated, YOU carry full responsibility for your activities in this group.

9. You should post proper images, and not links to images posted elsewhere.

Please be aware that images that are not complying with the guidelines mentioned above can/will be removed without any notice to the photographer.

Good luck with it.

POST ONLY YOUR VERY BEST WORK, PLEASE. POST PICTURES THAT YOU ARE PROUD OF.
