Longwood Community news

LONGWOOD-AREA COMMUNITY FORUM MISSION STATEMENT:
The original intention of this group was to share news and events within the Longwood Communities of Coram, Ridge, Yaphank, Shirley, Middle Island, Gordon Heights, Medford and Lake Panamoka. It has evolved into news-related discussions that 4 administrators do our best to moderate. IF YOU FEEL THAT A POST IS INAPPROPRIATE, PLEASE CLICK "REPORT OT MODERATOR". IF YOU HAVE A CONCERN ABOUT MODERATION OR A MODERATOR, PLEASE *PRIVATE MESSAGE US*. There are school pages and many times it is more appropriate to post to those pages. The links are below. Jeff Davis created the page as a way to fill the void of losing our local community based newspaper. Civic Associations, Fire Departments and other local organizations and individuals are encouraged to submit items of interest, fundraising events and local based news and issues related to our communities. No for-profit advertisements are permitted. The moderators do not endorse any political party or candidate, but will regularly keep you informed on candidates and news involving our elected officials and hopefully steer anyone with a question in the right direction. The moderators retain the right to delete any posting that we feel is inappropriate and does not follow the goals of the forum. PLEASE READ THE POSTING GUIDELINES BELOW.
