The Living Centre (est. 1983) is a beautiful 50~acre sanctuary with organic gardens, orchards, forests and a medicine wheel herb garden. We are dedicated to supporting individuals to live consciously in accordance with the Laws of Nature.


Apprenticing offers you the opportunity to live, learn and be part of the most comprehensive Living Food Lifestyle Centre in Canada. This is the only program that blends the spiritual lifestyle practices of the Sevenfold Path to Peace of the Essenes with Ayurveda, Herbalism, Shamanism, organic-vegan live-food nutrition and organic gardening.

The dynamic residential study and learn-by-doing will provide you with the foundational tools necessary to support you in creating a life that is fulfilling, purposeful and attuned to natural law.

Shantree Walter Kacera, D.N, Ph.D. Lorenna Bousquet Kacera and Shantree Kacera are the directors and facilitators of the Centre and the Living Arts Institute.

Shantree is an Ayurvedic Nutritionist, Therapeutic and Shamanic Herbalist, Clinical Iridologist and Permaculturist and Forest Gardening with more than 35 years experience in the natural healing arts.

Lorenna Bousquet Kacera is the developer of ‘Shamanu: Earth Wisdom Teachings’ which offer The Genesis of Movement, Follow Your Bliss, Soundscapes, Emotional Ecology, Elemental Medicine and Moving Into the Gap training and certification programs. She is an Ayurvedic Live-Food Educator, Life-Style Coach and teacher of the Sevenfold Path of Peace training, with a specialty in the fields of movement therapy, emotions, somatic education, trauma resolution and sonic healing therapy. Lorenna’s love for ritual and ceremony are inspired by the Earth herself.
