Instant pot is a gadget that is a slow cooker, pressure cooker, sauté pan all rolled into one. It is a stand alone electric unit and can be programmed- for ex . Set your timer and it will cook hot rice / dal when u want it. It's amazing, it's my new love- it can even make yogurt !!
