Lung Transplantation: Taking Flight with New Life Support Group

WHO MAY JOIN:

1. Pre-transplant patients - you must have been told by your doctor to investigate lung transplant, be on the waiting list or be going through the evaluation to be added to the waiting list
2. Post-transplant patients
3. Caregivers and Family Members of pre-transplant or post-transplant patients

(NEW GUIDELINE: As of April 15, 2014 – If you have a lung illness and your doctor has not mentioned lung transplant – please search for a Facebook Group that supports your lung illness. Our main goal is to help patients with information that will make their journey a bit easier. As the group grows, it's harder for patients to keep up with posts, and they can miss important information.)

HOW TO JOIN: Click on Request to Join. Check your “OTHER” box for a message from the ADMIN. You will be asked several questions. OR, you can private message Joanne Schum and let me know why you would like to join.

NO POSTING POEMS, QUOTES, INSPIRING VERSES, BIBLE VERSES, ETC. There are nearly 3,000 members in this group. If we allowed everyone to post these types of wall posts, we would no longer be a “lung transplant support group”. The ADMIN may remove you from the group if you continue to post such material.

NO TEXT TYPING, which is chopping the English language to one letter or number. Example: U – type YOU, 4 – type FOR, bcs-type BECAUSE, B – type BE etc. etc. The ADMIN may remove you from the group if you continue to post text type if repeated.

NO POSTING OF FUNDRAISERS FOR INDIVIDUALS, ORGANIZATIONS, ITEMS for sale, BOOKS, WALKS, RUNS ETC. Please message Joanne if you are uncertain if your post is okay to post. The ADMIN may remove you from the group if you continue to post such ads.

Join us as we share concerns, thoughts, and experience. Have a question about the Journey of Lung Transplant? Questions about the surgery, the medicines, the post transplant life? Share your "New Flight In Life” with your "Gift of Life" which gives you the freedom to finally live and BREATHE....reach new goals, and have the joy of being with family many more healthy years!
