Hebburn branch are the oldest branch, having been formed in 63/64 season by Billy Fox, Jimmy Murray, Jimmy Cairns, Dickie Sprouting & the Dowling brothers, we became affiliated to Sunderland Supporters Association in 1965.
Hebburn branch is very much a family orientated branch with generations of families travelling with the branch both home and away, we welcome young members who are our supporter of the future.
The branch committee currently consists of, Frankie Charlton as chairperson, Bob Farrell is the branch treasure, Cath Reid is branch secretary, the remainder of the branch committee being Claire Davison and Yvonne McCaffery.
Through the years the branch has had a number local hostileries as our bases, originally based at The Progressive Club (how appropriate) moving the The Quay Club, The Clock, Vic Park, The Newtown Club, The Longship, The Mill Tavern and now back to The Clock.
Over the years the branch has supported local charities in addition to 4Louis Charity, Callum’s Walking Wish, SAFC Foundation.
Parking at the Stadium of Light, the coach leaves from The clock an hour before kick off for all home games, leaving Sunderland 1 hour after the end of the game (evening matches the bus returns home straight after full time).
The cost of travel is £5.00 for adults, under 18 and 65 and over £3.00, under 16 free.
