Pilates is a physical fitness system that was developed by Joseph Pilates. Joseph Pilates was born in 1880 in Germany and after WW1 he developed an exercise regime that emphasises the importance of beginning movement from a central core of stability.
Pilates can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels and performs. Pilates focuses on strengthening the body’s core stability to improve body awareness, good posture and balance to create a sleek and toned body. Pilates also improves flexibility and agility while improving the body’s postural and alignment habits.
Pilates classes every Wednesday in the IJS Hall from 6-7pm and cost £5 per person.
Beginners always welcome and mats supplied
