THE DESCENDANTS OF KING EYO NSA OF CREEK TOWN

Creek Town is made up of the Efuts and the Efiks.The Efiks occupy seven-eight of the land mass and are divided into three principal group.Mbarakom (Oku Atai ) lying to the northeast, Otung (Ema Atai) lying to the southeast,and Adak Uko (the Eyo group) occupying the west,central and southern planes.Altogether,there are seven traditional Efik houses in Creek Town, Otung has two houses (1) Okpo Itam (2) Ibitam. Mbarakom has two (1) Ekpe Oku (2) Abasi Oku, and Adak Uko has three (1) Eyo II,Ekpenyong Nsa and Eyo Nsa.Adak Uko as a group has over the centuries produced nine kings in succession,But Eyo Nsa as a person and a prime pedigree holds a prominent position in the history of the Efiks, especially during their wars of survival with neighbouring tribes and in the elimination of the notorious pirate called Uko Mbiakong.Eyo Nsa House council comprises the following six sub houses (1) Efiok Eyo House (2) Aye Eyo House(3) Effiom Eyo House(4) Ibok Eyo House(5) Nsa Eyo and Okoho Eyo (also known as king Eyo VII House)(6) Eyo Ndem House.
