The Cynthia Gibson Memorial Nursing Scholarship was started in November 2006. It is to benefit a first-year student enrolled in the Associate Degree Nursing Program at Richmond Community College. The scholarship is targeted for single mothers in financial need, however has been awarded to a single father.
