Nelis Vander Pol and Nellie Meijer Vander Pol came to America, March of 1912 with their one-year-old daughter, Martha and settled in Oak Harbor, Island County, Washington. Nelis’s parents Elizabart and Paulina arrived in the US a couple months earlier.
