(Oh, and it's not just cars, it's vans/motorbikes/motorboats/anything with an engine that moves you around!)
Here's a quick run down of the rules that make your ad easy to read, understand and hopefully, get your item sold!
1, FULL details of the item (Age, Mileage, Engine size, Price etc) - it's not difficult and saves people asking "daft" questions! If your ad doesn't have this as asked, it could be DELETED without warning.
2, NO slating/abuse or SWEARING. One warning, then you'll be banned. Respect others ads as you would like yours to be respected.
3, ALL ads and responses to be in English. Not being racist or anything, but then everyone can understand and saves asking over and again.
4, Any problems with users/items etc, please contact an admin and we'll do our best to help.
5, DO NOT repost your advert again and again, just put a comment (ie: bump) and this will bring your ad back to the top, but only bump once in 24hrs or after last comment. Its only fair to other members. If you want to redo the ad, due to change of price etc, then delete the old one first or ask an admin and we'll do it.
6, When you sell your item, please delete the advert! At the least, comment "Sold" so an admin can delete it for you....
7, NO BUSINESS advertising!!Selling you old workshop equipment is ok, advertising your old stock or weekly specials etc. isn't. If we allow one, we have to allow all, and it'll turn into a garage adverts page too quickly!
Also - not a rule as such, just basic common sense...You should never exchange personal bank details over the internet! Ideally, at the most - a phone number, to arrange contact and face-to-face transactions.
This has had to be done as we've had a few complaints and people slating a lot lately.
