Bethesda Apostolic Church (BAC) was founded by ArchBishop Loveless Matarirano Manhango on 20 September 1952. In the book of Deuteronomy Chapter 18:15, the Bible says, 'The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken' Bishop Manhango received the gift of the Holy Spirit on the night of 20 September 1952 when he was at Hakiren Farm in Chegutu. He started seeing visions and to prophesy. During that night, he saw 14 visions which are well documented and explained in the book, 'The Origins of Bethseda Apostolic Church, written by Mark Madzinga.' The book is quite inspiring and uplifting to the discerning reader. It is the story of an ordinary man who was transformed by God to perform miracles, preach the gospel, and harvest a lot of souls for Christ. One can get a copy from the church Secretariat.
BAC is a bible believing church and is guided by the Holy Spirit in its activities. Its headquarters are at Chiwiriri in Zimbabwe, and it has branches in a number of countries such as UK, USA, Canada, Lebanon, Jamaica, India, Australia, New Zealand, UAE, the whole of the SADC region and other African countries.
We are looking forward to more spontaneous growth as the words of prophecy must all be fulfilled. According to the book of Romans 8:31, ‘What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who will be against us?’
