Taxal Edge was owned and run By the Boys And Girls Welfare Society also known as BGWS and recently changed it's name to Together Trust.
Sadly Taxal Edge Closed down as a Children's Home in 2004 and was sold by the together trust. Today Taxal Edge is a private dwelling and a family live there. There are plans to turn Taxal edge into 6 Private flats by the current owners.
Convicted PAEDOPHILE (1997), Bruce McLean, worked at Taxal edge in the 70's.
David Jones who was Manager at Taxal Edge in the 70's, died in 1997.
David Johnston who was Deputy Manager at Taxal Edge in the 70's, died in 2010.
