The Wayzata Depot was built in 1906 by the Great Northern Railroad. It was in service until 1970. It was then abandoned until 2001 when the Wayzata Historical Society and Wayzata Area Chamber of Commers moved in! Since then the Depot has been a local attraction in downtown Wayzata.
