If yes to my question come along to our next meeting Monday 27th April at 1.00pm at the Millstream Express office old railway shed Grigg st Ravenshoe.
The more supporters we have the closer we get wet in our own indoor heated swimming pool.
This is a huge job but we can make it happen with all your support.
A brief description of R.A.I.S.E.Inc.
( RAISE Inc is a not-for-profit incorporated organisation set up in 2001 to obtain an indoor heated swimming pool for the Ravenshoe community and visitors. RAISE is the acronym for Rural Activities Incorporating Sustainable Energy.Over the intervening years until present, RAISE has supported many sporting endeavours in and around the district, including: building an exercise station in the park in town; sponsored young tennis players to go to a tennis competitions in Brisbane; bought pool equipment for the Mt Garnet pool; paid for the netball club's rings and poles; sponsored Ravenshoe Tigers Junior Rugby League Football Club to help them purchase new jerseys; managed The Mountains Institute for just over a year, facilitating and organising courses, catering for weddings and other events and functions, etc. We also act as an umbrella organisation for many other clubs and groups, applying for grants, and providing insurance covers.)
