Welcome to the Prince George and Area Pet Network!
This group is set up for proud owners of all creatures great and small, to support one another, share photos, educate one another, and assist each other in finding the perfect companion to walk with in life.
There are many well versed people on this group from a variety of different animal related careers, including but not limited to: animal welfare and rescue, obedience training and sports, animal health, animal bylaws and animal protection. If you have a question, someone on here will undoubtedly be able to give you an answer or explanation!
The administrators of this group support "positive based training methods" for all animals. Any aversive or punishment based training is not recommended for use on your pets, and therefore we will not allow the sale of electric/shock collars, prong or pinch collars, choke chains or other similiar "training" tools.
PLEASE NOTE: This group is set out for help and education, and also RE-HOMING of your pet, we DO NOT accept any animals for SALE. If we suspect that your brag photos of cute litters of animals you post are for the purpose of advertising, we may ask that you remove them as it is a violation of the SALE of live animals.
**We ask that members are respectful to others when someone is needing to re-home their pet. This is not always an easy decision for someone to make, nor one that should be taken lightly. Sometimes it is in the best interest of an animal to find a new home, and we hope to keep a positive atmosphere where people can post without judgement!**
This group does *NOT* support backyard breeding. If a member is found to be habitually acquiring and rehoming animals on the group, they may be removed if the activity does not cease.
This group supports spay and neuter of all pets. We also support all reputable organizations that assist in animal welfare and animal rescue. If you are a rescue and would like to post animals for adoption, it is essential that you email admins first for permission, PRIOR to posting on our group.
All negative and counter-productive posts or bashing will be removed as this group is closely monitored. We will not tolerate bullying of other members, as we strive to keep the Pet Network a safe and friendly place where people can feel comfortable asking questions or bringing up issues. Any member who continually uses offensive language on the group or bashes other members will be automatically removed and banned.
